This Privacy Policy applies to Net4thing’s platform, which provides mobility services, our webapps available online and applications published in Apple App Store or Google Play.

Net4Things S.L. ("we" or "Net4things" from now onwards) are the Data Controller, that is, the company that controls and is responsible for the processing of your personal data. Net4things develops mobility solutions composed of a data processing platform along with user interfaces in the form of apps or webapps.

   Net4things provides mobility service that allows users to gain access to information on the use and operation of their mobility assets.

      To access and use certain features of our solutions, users need to register accounts through the available webapps or apps. During the registration process, users may be asked to provide us with some mandatory and optional data:

      Users are individuals or entities that are permitted to use the Net4things’ services through an account. In some Net4things’ services, there are also different types of accounts with corresponding data use and protection terms depending on whether the user is an owner or a guest. An owner may invite or revoke access to any other type of role anytime.

      It is important that the personal data, generally meaning data that relates to, describes, or is reasonably likely to be identified with or associated with a natural person or household, we hold about users is accurate and current. Please keep us informed if your personal data changes during your relationship with us.

      If you fail to provide personal data when we need to collect personal data for registration, by law, or under our Terms of Use or a contract we have with you, we may not be able to register your account.

   2. Information from the telematics devices
      
      

      We collect and use the information described below about the assets in which you installed a telematics device. We receive this information via a mobile service provider.

      1. Aggregated Information
         
         

         We collect information about your asset usage to provide you with feedback on your use. For instance, we collect data on acceleration, braking, and speed. To do so, we process information such as vehicle the VIN or location. Using this information, we can provide you information to generate alerts whenever the user decides.

   3. Payment Processing Information
      
      

      Net4things does not process or have access to any financial information like credit card numbers. Purchasing telematic devices will be done through third-parties which will user their payment processor subject to its own Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

   4. Aggregated Data
      
      

      We also collect, use and share aggregated data such as statistical or demographic data for any purpose. Aggregated Data may be derived from your personal data but is not considered personal data in law as this data does not directly or indirectly reveal your identity. For example, we may aggregate your usage data to calculate the percentage of users accessing a specific feature. However, if we combine or connect Aggregated Data with your personal data so that it can directly or indirectly identify you, we treat the combined data as personal data which will be used in accordance with this privacy notice.

In some circumstances you can ask us to delete your data and in some circumstances we may anonymize your personal data (so that it can no longer be associated with you) for research or statistical purposes in which case we may use this information indefinitely without further notice to you.
